ISLAMABAD: Opposition Leader in National Assembly Syed Khurshid Shah on Friday said there was no deadlock with the government on the issue of appointment of NAB chairman.
Speaking to media after meeting with Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi, the opposition leader said NAB chief’s name was expected to be finalized after one or two more meetings.
PTI has recommended Justice (r) Falak Sher, Arbab Shehzad and Shoaib Suddle while MQM has proposed Justice (r) Mehmoodul Hassan Rizvi and Justice (r) Ghaus Muhammad for the post.
The opposition leader proposed the names of Justice (retd) Faqeer Khokhar, Justice (retd) Javed Iqbal and ECP former secretary Ishtiaq Ahmed. Whereas the prime minister had suggested the names of IB chief Aftab Sultan, Justice (r) Rehmat Jaffery, and Justice (r) Ejaz Chaudhry.
