SUKKUR: National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Chairman Qamar Zaman Chaudhary has said corruption is a silent killer that destroys whole society and affects a country like cancer.
Addressing officers during his farewell visit to the NAB Sukkur, he said that the regional bureau had played a pivotal role in combating corruption.
He said that corruption is mother of all evils, and added that the NAB was committed to eradicating corruption by adopting zero a tolerance policy.
He said that the NAB had chalked out a proactive anti-corruption strategy to eliminate the curse through a holistic approach of awareness. “The NAB has recovered looted money worth billions of rupees and it will continue to arrest corrupt leaders,” he added.
He appreciated the efforts made by the regional officers under supervision of National Accountability Bureau Sukkur DG Fayaz Qureshi for eradication of corruption.
Earlier, the DG in his welcome address said that the idea of spreading operational activities vigorously in far-flung areas of the province had left a far-reaching impact in terms of outreach, service delivery and responsiveness in combating corruption in northern Sindh.
